You may already know that we have an Owner’s Group on Facebook where we can pass on important news and information to our owners and also where owners can ask for advice and post relevant information and photos that others might find useful. Please answer the question and let us know your caravan number or your family caravan number if not yours. As it is a closed group, we need this information to approve your request to join. This is especially important at the moment due to the ever changing situation around the COVID-19 coronavirus, as it is a quick and easy way to get new information out to everyone.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, it came to light across the holiday park industry that an increasing number of people are using their holiday caravans as a main residence.

This is a breach of the site licence and can have serious consequences for caravan parks that, like ours, do not hold a residential licence. As you will be aware, our caravan parks hold licences to operate as holiday parks and a condition of our licence is that we hold documents on file to confirm that our owners have a main residential home elsewhere.

Your licence agreement states that you are not allowed to live in the Caravan or use it as your only or main residential home. You can only use the Caravan for holidays and recreational purposes.

The ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ at the end of your Licence Agreement explain in more detail what is meant by this. Your licence agreement will show your only or main residential address. We will send all correspondence relating to the Caravan to this address. If we ask, you must provide us with documents that show that you live at the address given and you must also tell us promptly in writing if you change your main address or contact details. 

We would be grateful if you would forward to us a copy of a recent utility bill which confirms your current residential address. This must be a document directly related to the property such as a council tax bill, tenancy agreement, water, electric or gas bill. The document provided should be dated within the last 3 months or certainly relating to the current year. We will request updated documents throughout the year. The document can be emailed to info@seariversleisure.co.uk. If you receive your utility bills by email, an email can be forwarded onto us providing it contains the relevant information required to prove your residential address.
